Bormioli Rocco introducing eco-friendly and high performance packaging

From 5th until 7th of May 2015, Bormioli Rocco Group will attend the VITAFOODS trade fair, the annual business event dedicated to the nutraceutical, dietary supplements, functional food and drink industries, taking place in Geneva (booth G76).

The highlighted Bormioli Rocco products at Vitafoods are biphase solutions, eco-friendly packaging and high performance plastic bottles for sensitive products.

Thanks to its biphase solutions, Bormioli Rocco is able to respond to the market needs of those manufacturers which often have to face the problem of keeping ingredients separate until the final use. For this reason, Bormioli Rocco has developed various ready-to-drink packaging solutions for instant mixture of powder and liquid, guaranteeing product integrity, perfect dosing and every time freshness. The use of this kind of system is not limited to well-being products but it can be also used for hair treatments, skin care tonics and traditional oral medical applications. These types of packaging represent a unique opportunity to differentiate on the market as well as being easy-to-use for consumers.

Moreover, the company particularly focuses on sustainability topic, with a wide range of Eco-friendly packaging ideal for natural products, in order to be aligned to the “natural trend” of the market. Bormioli Rocco offers a wide spectrum of eco-friendly solutions, from glass bottles, that are exclusively natural and endlessly recyclable, to recycled plastic and even bioplastic packaging, with low environmental impact.

High performance plastic-packaging represents another important innovation pillar. In particular for hygroscopic products such as pills or tablets, Bormioli Rocco offers high performance PE bottles with improved barrier properties against moisture up to 30%-40% and against oxygen up to 15%-25% compared to standard HDPE.
